Registered Nurse - Operating Room

This is a night shift position, working Sunday to Thursday from 11 PM to 7 AM.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Operating Room. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, as they will be the only RN on duty during their shift. The nurse will be responsible for managing surgical cases and ensuring the safety and care of patients in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and assist in surgical procedures, with a focus on patient safety and care.
• Act as a charge nurse during the night shift, overseeing operations and managing any emergencies that may arise.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, including anesthesia providers and OR techs.
• Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed within the operating room.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-3 years of experience in the Operating Room specialty is required.
• 2-3 previous travel assignments are also required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS are mandatory.
• Preferred experience in Orthopedic and Neurological surgeries.
