Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Telemetry Department is responsible for providing optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the nursing process. The RN is accountable for individualized patient outcomes across the entire episode of care, ensuring comprehensive nursing services are delivered to a diverse patient population, including adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, responding to changes in patient condition.
• Coordinate care and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies as prescribed.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding care plans and health management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience required.
• NV RN license required prior to start.
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS (APEX) certifications.
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam, including identifying and measuring rhythm strips.
