Radiology Technologist

Job Description

The Radiology Technologist performs Diagnostic Radiographic Procedures according to department protocols and regulatory standards. As a first line interface with customers, this role is focused on effectively meeting their imaging needs. The Radiology Technologist also participates in Performance Improvement and Quality Control activities and is responsible for processing and transmitting images to the PACS system.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in line with department protocols
• Ensure compliance with HFAP, TJC, local regulations, and State and Federal laws
• Act as a primary contact for patients, attending to their imaging needs
• Participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Control activities
• Process and transmit imaging data to the PACS system

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current CRT issued by CDPH
• Fluoroscopy permit from CDPH within 6 months of hire
• Venipuncture certificate within 3 months of hire
• ARRT-R certification required
• Familiarity with State and Federal regulations
• Current BCLS from AHA
• Graduate from a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES
• At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred
• Proficient computer skills
