Job Description

The Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the CVICU. The RN will care for immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients and will be skilled in advanced cardiac monitoring and device management. Responsibilities include performing critical procedures such as central line and swan insertion, and intubation.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients requiring advanced cardiac surgery management.
• Implement hemodynamic monitoring and manage critical care equipment.
• Perform essential procedures including central line insertion and intubations.
• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team and charge nurse for effective patient management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess strong critical care experience, including CVICU.
• Experience with PA catheter, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, Impella, and CRRT is preferred.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
