Registered Nurse - Night Shift IMCU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights, 3x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15, including weekends (every other weekend) and holidays as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our IMCU team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care for a diverse patient population, focusing primarily on pulmonary patients, including those with COPD, pneumonia, and tracheostomy care. The nurse will be responsible for managing a mixed acuity unit, preparing to work with ventilated patients and administering treatments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the IMCU.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor vital signs and patient responses, adjusting care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (Epic).
• Support patients and their families by providing education and emotional support.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current RN license with no license hits accepted.
• Certifications: NIHSS and BLS required.
• Epic experience heavily preferred.
• Experience in a critical care or IMCU setting is preferred.
