Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00).

Job Description

The Cardiac Care unit is designed to provide comprehensive care for a diverse patient population, including young adults to geriatric patients recovering from cardiac interventions. Nurses will manage care for patients undergoing procedures such as cardiac surgery, coronary artery stent placements, and pacemaker implants, as well as hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions in a cardiac care environment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV and blood products.
• Manage cardiac telemetry and respond to emergencies as part of a rapid response team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding cardiac health.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Preferred travel experience.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS is also required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
