Clinical Nurse - High-Risk Maternal and Infant Care

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7 PM - 7:30 AM, with 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required.

Job Description

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team and participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals while ensuring the implementation of solutions.

Responsibilities

• Formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department.
• Perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Experience with high-risk mothers and babies.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• BLS and NRP certifications.
• Previous work experience at a high-risk facility is preferred.
