Job Description

The Psychiatric Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for providing direct patient care, supporting the nursing team, and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients with severe mental illnesses and behavioral issues. This role involves patient monitoring, therapeutic communication, and assisting in various patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient contraband searches and property inventory
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Perform phlebotomy and 12-lead EKGs
• Provide transport for patients
• Assist physicians and nurses as needed
• Engage in 1:1 patient monitoring as required

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Certified Patient Care Technician (NCPT) via NCCT
• BLS certification (AHA)
• De-Escalation Training
• Experience in phlebotomy and 12-lead EKGs
