Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants while embodying the core values of the organization, focusing on patient and employee safety, teamwork, and effective results-oriented care.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis for individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and collaborate with patients/families and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and ensure direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and safety.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Promote a positive and efficient work environment through team-building activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH only).
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
• Critical care experience is required.

Schedule

This is a night shift position with a 3x12 schedule.
