Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises LPNs, CNAs, and orientees. This role emphasizes patient safety and employee safety as a core priority, promoting a safe environment and adherence to relevant policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on assessment data.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and direct patient care.
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to care team members.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments and patient responses.
• Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment among staff and patients.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from admission.
• Assume charge responsibilities as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (specific to certain locations).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.
