Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The role involves working with various equipment, including oxygen therapy devices, BIPAP/CPAP machines, ventilators, and arterial blood gas machines. The therapist will ensure optimal patient management through effective treatments and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as per physicians' orders.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Document patient progress in the EMR system (Meditech).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RRT credential.
• Current VA State License.
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications.
• ICU experience is a must.
