Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Children's ER plays a vital role in providing optimal patient care by utilizing clinical knowledge and skills within the framework of the nursing process. This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive nursing services for pediatric patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in an emergency setting.
• Demonstrate excellent documentation skills and engage in compassionate patient and family interaction.
• Provide care for critically ill children and participate in pediatric resuscitation efforts.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as required.
• Ensure compliance with age-specific competency standards across service deliveries.
• Adapt to department needs, including potential floating to other areas based on competency.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active NV RN license required prior to start.
• Two years of experience in a Pediatric ER setting is required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC.
