Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12.0

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed, while supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. The RN is responsible for direct patient care and contributes to a safe environment for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized care plans based on assessment data and patient needs.
• Provide patient education and support throughout the rehabilitation program.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission, including patient teaching.
• Ensure effective communication regarding patient status changes among healthcare team members.
• Supervise and support ancillary nursing personnel, fostering a positive team environment.
• Manage patient safety and adhere to hospital protocols for safety procedures.
• Participate in team-building activities to enhance unit efficiency and morale.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested after orientation.
• Engage in professional growth through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH only).
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

This position operates on a night shift, with a 3x12.0 schedule.
