Job Description

The Orthopedic and Neuro Unit is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to our patient population. The unit has a total of 35 beds, with a patient ratio of 1:6 and includes telemetry monitoring centralized on the unit. We are committed to offering a supportive work environment, including access to patient care technicians and a dedicated discharge nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic and neurological patients.
• Monitor and document patient conditions using the EPIC charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and social services.
• Assist in the coordination of care and discharge planning.
• Float to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience on an orthopedic and neuro unit.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Recent experience with EPIC charting within the last 6 months.
• Experience with medical surgical, orthopedic, and neuro patient populations.
