Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift 3x12

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. This role involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while embracing the organization's core values and focusing on safety for both patients and employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission.
• Identify patient education needs and goals through assessments and collaboration with the patient and interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely patient status updates for team conferences.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to the care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Contribute positively to the unit environment and support team building initiatives.
• Identify and report service needs and participate in maintaining clinical supplies.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested following orientation.
• Pursue professional development and continuing education opportunities.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
