Surgical Technologist - Labor & Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3 × 11.5 hr shifts per week, from 7pm to 7:30am, including a 60-minute unpaid lunch, with alternate weekends.

Job Description

The Surgical Technologist will support the Labor & Delivery unit, managing patient care during various stages of labor and delivery. Responsibilities will include assistance in high-risk antepartum and PACU triage, ensuring the highest standard of care for mothers and infants.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 staffing for active labor and complications.
• Manage earlier stage labor with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2.
• Care for high-risk antepartum patients at ratios of 1:1 to 1:2.
• Assist in triage with a team of 2-3 registered nurses.
• Support postpartum care in the Mother-Baby unit as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
• Previous travel experience required.
• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM certification required.
