Job Description

We are seeking a highly trained and experienced Sonographer to perform high-quality Adult Echo studies in a premier cardiac center. The ideal candidate will have experience with TAVR and Mitraclip procedures and will focus on patient comfort and satisfaction throughout the examination process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations, focusing on comfort and satisfaction.
• Explain procedures in easy-to-understand terms and perform ultrasound procedures.
• Observe and monitor patients during the entire examination process.
• Set up equipment to administer procedures efficiently.
• Review prior reports, images, and patient charts diligently.
• Ensure proper images are obtained, studies are complete, and notify the reader of findings.
• Maintain records and logs of exams performed.
• Control inventory and purchase supplies for the assigned area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Experienced Sonographer with a minimum of 200 inpatient cases in echocardiography.
• Proficient in valvular assessment with strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills.
• Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies.
• Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with ARDMS or CCI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
