Job Description

Seeking an experienced PICU nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing, specifically with pediatric patients. You will be required to work with a team, managing the care of patients with complex conditions including congenital heart issues, DKA, respiratory challenges, and more.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and provide care to critically ill pediatric patients.
• Titrate drips and manage sedation protocols as per physician’s orders.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive care plan.
• Participate in patient rounds and contribute to discussions regarding patient care and progress.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required.
• Must be comfortable caring for adult patients in L&D when necessary.
• Valid nursing license to practice.
