7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8 hour shifts M-Tu-Th, plus two Wednesdays a month as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide immobilization devices and operate Nuclear Medicine equipment as directed. The role involves evaluating radio images using the PACS System, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring radiation protection for both the technologist and the patient in accordance with safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform radionuclide procedures on patients, including organ imaging and function studies.
• Prepare radioactive tracer compounds for patient use and calibrate equipment.
• Maintain adequate records of radioisotope receipt, use, storage, and disposal as per state and federal regulations.
• Evaluate images for proper identification and diagnostic value using PACS workstation.
• Support daily clerical duties including the use of EPIC and patient scheduling systems.
• Adhere to all NRC and State JCAHO guidelines and practices.
• Communicate effectively with patients, adapting care based on individual needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a busy hospital setting.
• Valid NJDEP license, ARRT or NMTCB registry required, and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
