Occupational Therapist - Travel Position

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with one Saturday per month and holidays required.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist facilitates the development and rehabilitation of physically disabled persons, maximizing the functional status of hospitalized patients. The specialist will be responsible for evaluating, planning, implementing, and modifying age-appropriate treatment programs. Participation in discharge planning and care plan meetings is also required.

Responsibilities

• Perform OT evaluations and treatments
• Attend care plan meetings and develop care plans
• Participate in discharge planning
• Conduct administrative duties and participate in performance improvement initiatives
• Pursue professional growth and perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of OT experience required
• Current BLS certification
• New Mexico or equivalent state licensure required
• Acute care experience is essential
