Schedule

Nights, 12-hour shifts; dependent on schedule needs; either days (0700-1930) or nights (1900-0730).

Job Description

This position is within an LDRP setting, managing OB triage, outpatient testing, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery care. Responsibilities do not include circulating or scrubbing in the OR. The department utilizes OBIX for fetal surveillance and EPIC for electronic health records; experience with these systems is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to the care of patients within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• Teach patients, their significant others, and support persons about ongoing care.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to effectively coordinate overall patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years minimum experience in labor and delivery with current fetal heart monitoring [REQUIRED]
• BLS AHA certification [REQUIRED]
• NRP certification [REQUIRED]
• Experience with OBIX and EPIC systems [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
• Certifications in EFM and STABLE [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
• Oregon nursing license (does not need to be active at time of submission, but must be willing to obtain) [NICE TO HAVE]
