Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required and holidays required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role includes planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patients' needs. The RN will identify patient needs and prioritize care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments.
• Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician diagnoses, and functional health frameworks.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage the care of patients.
• Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Labor and Delivery.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS-AHA certification required.
• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
• NRP certification required; ACLS and Advanced AWHONN or EFM preferred.
