Travelers must work every other holiday, similar to full-time staff. Night shift needs are anticipated.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery/Recovery unit is composed of an experienced team of Registered Nurses, including specialists and new graduates gaining essential OB experience. The unit supports an average of 80 to 90 deliveries each month, with dynamic patient care needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs.
• Administer medications and facilitate pain management techniques.
• Assist in both vaginal and C-section deliveries.
• Provide postpartum care and education to new parents.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Preferred: 3+ years of OB experience; consideration for candidates with less experience can be made if they have prior travel experience or worked in a specialized OB setting.
• Required Certifications: BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification.
• Current nursing license valid in the state of practice.
