Night shifts are available on weekends, specifically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Job Description

The Trauma & General Surgery Inpatient Unit is a dynamic and fast-paced environment serving a diverse patient population with complex medical needs. As a Registered Nurse, you will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-level care to patients with multi-trauma, traumatic brain injuries, complex spinal cord injuries, and other surgical and medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for multi-trauma, TBI, complex spinal injuries, and surgical patients.
• Engage in complex wound care management and the use of drains and devices.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, working collaboratively with monitor techs.
• Titrate drips including Heparin and PCA on the floor; manage insulin and Cardizem in stepdown.
• Facilitate effective patient flow through collaborative partnerships with medical and surgical teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in trauma care, complex wound care, and management of respiratory support devices.
• Must possess a valid nursing license and meet any other state regulatory requirements.
