7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 3 days a week. Weekends required when needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The role includes planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs, as well as identifying patient needs through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The nurse develops and coordinates individualized plans of care and performs therapeutic nursing interventions.

Responsibilities

• Initiate assessments based on patient problems, physician diagnoses, and the functional health framework.
• Manage care of patients and perform therapeutic nursing interventions.
• Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma in an inpatient setting.
• Required Education: ASN.
• Preferred Education: BSN.
• Required Certifications & Licensure: BLS - AHA, NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• Preferred Certifications & Licensure: Telemetry, Chemo Certification with ONS.
• Language: Proficient in English (speak, read, write).
