Job Description

The Cardiac Care Unit provides specialized care for patients requiring medical cardiac interventions and recovery. The unit consists of 36 private rooms dedicated to patients ranging from young adults to geriatric populations. Admission priorities include patients recovering from cardiac surgeries, coronary artery interventions, and stable non-procedural cardiac patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive cardiac care to patient populations.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering necessary treatments and medications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care plans and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Previous charge experience is advantageous.
• Possession of current BLS and NIHSS certifications.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Travel experience is preferred.
