Evening shift; every 3rd weekend.

Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for preparing patients for examinations, explaining procedures, and responding to patient questions. The role involves performing diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care and technical duties in a timely manner.
• Greet each patient pleasantly and review requests for appropriate exams.
• Check for two patient identifiers: Name and Date of Birth.
• Explain procedures in understandable terms to patients.
• Prepare and position patients for examinations.
• Operate CR, Fluoro, and DR rooms safely and efficiently.
• Transfer images to PACS and prepare documentation.
• Assist Radiologists and Fluoro Tech during special procedure examinations.
• Maintain radiation safety practices consistent with ALARA standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.
• Perform clerical duties as needed and monitor workflow processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School diploma or equivalent; completion of a specialized training program in Radiological Technology.
• Registered with the ARRT in Radiology.
• Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, renewed every two years.
• One year of experience performing radiological procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and radiologic equipment.
