Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) is responsible for providing high-quality care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The ER RN will demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of care within the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room.
• Utilize the Nursing Process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Direct and coordinate all nursing care based on established clinical practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective care delivery.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of nursing experience required.
• At least 2 previous travel assignments completed successfully.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ESI level 5 training required.
• TNCC certification preferred.
• Cerner experience preferred.
