Job Description

Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Stepdown/Med Surg Registered Nurse. This role involves working with patients requiring stepdown care and managing a variety of diagnoses including respiratory issues, weakness, UTIs, AKI, and chest pain.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a maximum of 20 patients on the unit.
• Maintain patient nurse ratios: Stepdown 1:3 and Med Surg 1:5-6.
• Titrate medications including Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone.
• Utilize RT equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen.
• Monitor patients through telemetry and manage various set rate drips.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Previous experience in stepdown nursing is essential.
• Must have a valid, unexpired driver's license and disclose any licensing hits at the time of submission.
