Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a cardiac unit that caters to a diverse patient population, including those recovering from cardiac surgeries and interventions. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in cardiac telemetry and be comfortable managing patients with varying levels of acuity.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients recovering from cardiac surgery and interventions, including stent placements and pacemaker implants.
• Monitor patient vitals, manage cardiac telemetry, and administer prescribed treatments effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Float to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a cardiac care or telemetry unit.
• Experience with EPIC charting system.
• BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred.
• Previous travel experience required.
• Must be able to manage a patient ratio of 1:6.
