CVOR Registered Nurse

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:00 - 06:30)

Job Description

The CVOR Registered Nurse will provide care for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries including open heart adult surgery, CABG, and valvular surgery. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and be proficient in both circulating and scrubbing for CVOR cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the CVOR setting.
• Assist in all phases of the surgical process, including preparing instruments and maintaining sterile field.
• Monitor patient condition during and after surgeries.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Float to Main OR if no CVOR cases are scheduled during the shift.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of CVOR nursing experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred.
• Active NJ or Compact nursing license required at time of submission.
• Experience with ECMO, Impella, and HeartMate devices is a plus.
• Proficiency in TAVR and valve replacement procedures preferred.
