Operating Room Registered Nurse - Rotating Shift Schedule

Job Description

The OR cares for a wide variety of patients across multiple specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma. This position is at a level 1 trauma center equipped with 2 Davinci robots used by multi-services, supporting a transplant program that includes livers, kidneys, and hearts.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the operating room.
• Scrub and circulate in various surgical specialties.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RN License (New York State only)
• Two (2) years of operating room experience in a level 1 trauma center preferred
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Ability to scrub and circulate

Schedule

This position requires a rotating shift schedule that includes on-call/callback duties, floating, and working on holidays and weekends as needed by the unit.
