Job Description

Join a dynamic team in a cardiac stepdown unit providing exceptional care to patients with various cardiac conditions. The position requires an ability to manage critical responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring patient safety and support.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients with cardiac conditions, including post-operative care following lung surgeries and catheterizations.
• Titrate medications including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Heparin, and Nitro.
• Administer lab draws and manage fluid lines.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience with titrating cardiac medications and managing patients with chest tubes and pacemakers.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.
