Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care consistent with state standards. The nurse must communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team in developing a patient care plan. Maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and supporting the mission, vision, and values of the organization is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Maine or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS within six months of hire date.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.
• Excellent assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills.
• Ability to function independently and act rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations.
