Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical unit. The nurse will provide care for patients with various diagnoses, including pneumonia, UTI, acute mental status changes, GI bleeds, alcohol withdrawal, and general weakness.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the medical surgical unit.
• Monitor and titrate medications as needed, excluding cardiac drips.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform patient assessments, manage monitoring devices, and ensure accurate vital sign documentation.
• Assist with basic patient needs including bathing, feeding, and mobility.
• Participate in unit orientation and training sessions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Must possess a valid RN license or meet requirements for future certification as a Patient Care Technician (PCT).
