Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is accountable for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for the safe delivery of care, maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education, and delegating patient care priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care using the Nursing Process.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in clinical practice.
• Delegate patient care priorities to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-5 years of recent Telemetry/LTAC experience in a hospital setting.
• Must possess ACLS & BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy care.
• Active Indiana RN license or multi-state compact RN license.
