PCU/Tele Registered Nurse - 12 Hour Nights

3 - 12 hour Night shifts per week, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Job Description

The PCU/Tele unit consists of two floors with a total of 42 beds, providing telemetries with a primarily tele acuity focus. The unit is expanding to accommodate higher acuity patients, with plans for the 2nd floor to transition into a Stepdown unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in the PCU/Tele unit.
• Monitor telemetry and respond to any changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications as per protocol, including drips for Cardizem, Amiodarone, and others.
• Documentation of patient care and monitoring rhythms in the EPIC system.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including the in-house Hospitalist and RT.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Must have valid nursing license to practice in West Virginia.
• Experience in a telemetry or PCU setting preferred, but first-time travelers are welcome.
