Job Description

The Ultrasound Technologist will specialize in various diagnostic ultrasound procedures. Responsibilities include performing complex ultrasound imaging and contributing to improved patient outcomes while ensuring adherence to established protocols and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures for cardiac, vascular, and general areas.
• Operate sophisticated ultrasonic imaging units and maintain current knowledge of technological advancements.
• Ensure compliance with industry, Federal, State, Joint Commission, and departmental protocols.
• Review images for identification, technique, and completeness.
• Participate in educational sessions and mentor new staff and sonography students.
• Contribute to accreditation processes and ensure equipment maintenance.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum two years of clinical experience in the relevant departmental specialization.
• American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography certifications (RDMS, RVT, RDCS) required.
• Current CPR certification upon hire; AHA BLS within 60 days of hire.
• Experience in OBGYN, small parts, cardiovascular, and pediatrics highly preferred.
