Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a clinical practitioner responsible for coordinating and implementing patient care tailored to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. The RN ensures quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with the unit's standards of care. The role demands performance aligned with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization. The RN demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice while treating staff, physicians, patients, and families with respect and consideration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served.
• Ensure quality and efficient patient care consistent with unit standards.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills appropriate to the developmental age of patients.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to safety protocols.
• Handle emergency and crisis situations while maintaining composure.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
• BLS Certification required via AHA.
• ACLS Certification required via AHA.
