Job Description

The Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. He/she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care. The Registered Nurse demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization while treating staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement patient care for diverse patient populations.
• Ensure quality care is provided in a safe and efficient manner.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Adhere to safety standards and protocols within the clinical environment.
• Handle emergency and crisis situations as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
• BLS Certification required via AHA.
• ACLS Certification required via AHA.
• Knowledge of current nursing practices and sensitivity to patient rights.
