Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical Float

Schedule

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 12-hour night shifts. Every other weekend and holidays may be required.

Job Description

This nursing position involves providing total nursing care for adult and geriatric patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and offering leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing staff and other healthcare personnel. The nurse will float between Medical-Surgical units and is expected to provide care in accordance with professional nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients.
• Participate in patient and family education.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to maintain professional nursing standards.
• Be willing to float between different units as necessary.
• Administer cardiac drips and manage other step-down care practices as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of Medical-Surgical experience.
• 2+ years of Progressive Care Unit experience.
• Experience with telemetry.
• EPIC experience required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
• Active New Hampshire RN License or Compact license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Must have a vehicle for transportation.
