Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide high-quality outpatient physical therapy services within an Occupational Medicine clinic, focusing on injury prevention and early intervention. This role involves working closely with patients in a manufacturing facility/warehouse setting to facilitate timely recovery and safe return to work.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient strengths, limitations, and needs using standardized measurement and evaluation tests.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment goals based on patient assessments.
• Administer and interpret physical therapy services, adjusting treatment plans based on patient response.
• Document patient treatment records accurately and in a timely manner.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Provide education regarding treatment plans, safety, and self-care techniques.
• Engage in patient care conferences and collaborate with healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants during treatment sessions.
• Participate in discharge planning and referrals as needed.
• Engage in departmental performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy with a bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Possession of a current license or eligibility to be licensed as a Physical Therapist in New York.
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
• Prior experience in a medical facility, preferably with ergonomic evaluations and OSHA training.
