Job Description

The Cat Scan Technologist performs computer tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation and assisting with interventional and therapeutic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex CT procedures and ensure patient clinical history is well documented.
• Prepare and review contrast questionnaires with patients and families.
• Administer contrast media as prescribed and verify appropriateness of exams.
• Obtain outside studies and schedule them for radiologists' review.
• Evaluate radiographs to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Prep patients for scanning, addressing their concerns and ensuring safety.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and perform necessary maintenance procedures.
• Adhere to company policies regarding attendance, behavior, and safety.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Trauma 1 center as a CT Technologist.
• Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program.
• New Jersey DEP Diagnostic Radiography License.
• ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association within three months of hire.
• ARRT (CT) certification must be achieved within twelve months following the hire date.
