Job Description

The Maternal Infant Unit is seeking an experienced Labor Nurse with at least 2 years of labor experience. The unit, housing 24 beds, is equipped with advanced technology, including GE fetal monitors, and maintains a proficient EMR system (Meditech, CPN). The ideal candidate will exhibit strong skills in handling high birth volume cases in a conducive environment for both mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities

• Manage labor cases with a 1:1 patient ratio.
• Provide post-partum care with a patient ratio of 5-6:1.
• Oversee nursery care for infants with a similar patient ratio of 5-6:1.
• Perform vaginal deliveries and C-sections in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Care for antepartum patients and assist with newborn and post-partum protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of labor experience.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certifications are required.
• Experience in an LDRP setting with high birth volumes is preferred.
