Med Surg RN - Day Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day 4x12-hour shifts from 06:30 to 19:00, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend coverage as needed.

Job Description

The Med Surg RN will provide care for patients primarily on a medical-surgical unit with a focus on stroke and surgical patients. The unit is equipped with telemetry central monitoring 24/7, although interpretation of dysrhythmias is not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to stroke and surgical patients.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to like units as required based on facility needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Certifications: BLS, NIHSS are required; CPI is preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
