Job Description

The Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) plays a vital role in assisting with the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. The CRT also measures lung capacity to assess for impairments.

Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators and administer breathing treatments/nebulizers.
• Obtain arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Assist in diagnosing and maintaining treatment protocols for pulmonary disorders.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.
• Associate's degree in a related field required.
