ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Day/Night Shift - 13 Weeks Contract

7a-7p / 7p-7a - 3 days per week, with variable shifts scheduled as needed by client, every other weekend, and holiday shifts.

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients. The role requires versatility in handling shifts and ensuring the best outcome for patients through teamwork, effective communication, and clinical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for patients in the ICU.
• Monitor and document patient responses and vital signs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records preferred.
