Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical/Surgical unit is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse adult patient population. The RN will work closely with a dedicated team to ensure patients receive individualized care while maintaining professional standards and quality of service.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care.
• Support and educate patients and their families regarding health plans and treatments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Iowa RN license.
• Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS is a plus.
• MUST have Iowa criminal background check cleared.
• Mandatory reporter certification for child and adult abuse required.
• 10-panel drug screening required.
