Registered Nurse - Acute Care

12-hour day/night rotating shifts, weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our acute care unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with various medical conditions. Our unit specializes in managing patients with CHF, COPD, cellulitis, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and evaluate patient needs.
• Administer medications and titrate drips, including heparin based on aPTT results.
• Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records in the EPIC system.
• Assist in the supervision of patient care technicians and nursing aides.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to appropriate personnel.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
• BLS certification from AHA.
• NIHSS certification.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred.
