Operating Room RN First Assist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shifts from 06:45 AM to 05:15 PM, with some weekday and weekend on-call duties.

Job Description

The Operating Room RN First Assist will assist in surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and proper care during operations. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of surgical protocols and strong collaboration with the surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team during procedures in a pediatric and women's specialty setting.
• Perform circulatory and scrub roles as required.
• Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
• Manage surgical instruments and supplies effectively.
• Provide care to patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
• Active RN license in West Virginia or a compact license.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Experience in Pediatric General OR and General OR is preferred.
• Experience with robotic surgical procedures is a plus.
